Intuitive Drawing and Watercolor Painting

Beginning with automatic drawing you will create new kinds of drawings and paintings that express energy, action, and a fantasy world of stories. Each person will intuitively develop an expressive vocabulary of marks to reveal very personal compositions that may include images from books, magazines and your sketch books such as weather systems, maps, water, sea creatures, the

environment, comic strip action lines, calligraphic marks, and characters. The completed drawings may be thinly outlined with permanent ink pens and painted in watercolor. Lin will provide instruction in active radiating compositions, fantasy still life, drawing methods, perspective, ink rendering, watercolor painting and final presentation. Materials list available at SCC front desk upon registration.
